Richard

I am using Excel 2003 and I have all of the options
checked on the Autocorrect tab of the autocorrect
dialogue box. I also have the label text with smart tags
box checked on the smart tags tab. When Excel
autocorrects my spreadsheet the help menu says that a
blue box will appear near the corrected next, if you
pause the curser near this correction. This box turns
into a button that allows you to undo this correction.
I cannot get this box to appear and therefore seem to be
left only with the option of deleting the correction from
the autocorrect dialogue box.
I have obviously not done something I should have or done
something that i should not have done. Please help.
Thanks

I don't use this "improvement" so I don't know, but you can always "regret"
an autocorrect
by pressing space and ctrl + z

Thank you for your response but I have tried this and
this does not work either. It works in Word but not in
Excel.

Sorry, I clicked the send button too quickly, I wanted to
say that ctrl + z removes all the data from the cell
rather than undoing the autocorrect.

Not for me

If you have moved to another cell, then press Ctrl+Z, all the data will
be removed from the previous cell.

If you stay in Edit mode in the cell, the Ctrl+Z will undo the
AutoCorrection.

For example, type (C), then press the spacebar
AutoCorrect will change this to ©
Before you press Enter to move to another cell, press Ctrl+Z
The (C) will reappear.
