How do I stop Word from trying to insert 2004-mm-dd after every entry of 2004. This problem occurs when I type a previous date ending with 2004. Autocorrect prompts me to enter 2004-mm-dd and if I am typing quickly and not paying attention, it will automatically enter it's prompt. I use autocorrect often for other things so I really don't want to turn it off altogether. I have defaulted the date under the insert menu to what I want but this only works when I insert the date rather than type it out in full. I really don't want to insert it from the menu every time.

This isn't easy to correct. I believe you can disable autocomplete for
AutoText, but that is
a drastic remedy. Changing the date formats in Windows may help. Otherwise,
pressing Ctrl-Z immediately after this happens will undo it.

You can also type a space after the 2004 before pressing the Enter key.
