Hello

I have recently switched from ONE express to just Outlook.
I used to be able to have the address auto-complete but it does not in
Outlook?
Am I missing something? I cannot even find a place where you enable it.

Outlook 2000 SR-1
Windows 2K - OS

Any clues?

Hmm,

This feature, was already enabled with Outlook. And it is listed as an
option somewhere. I believe you should be looking for something that says,
"Suggest Names" or "Suggest Email Addresses" or something of the sort. It's
not named as auto complete.

Jorge,

Outlook and Outlook Express are entirely two different programs written by
entirely two different groups of people.

Outlook does not function in the same manner as Express. Your contacts are
stored in a contact folders. However, there is an autocomplete function in
OL. It stores your outgoing e-mails in a hidden, system folder known as an
NK2. You really can't open this folder for editing but we did manage to
write a utility that will.

First, you need to turn on this function in your software. To do this:

Go to: Tools, Option, Preferences Tab, E-Mail Options, Advanced E-Mail
Aptions and check the box next to "Suggest names when completing To:, Cc:,
and Bcc: fields".

If the option is on and still not working, write back to this forum and put
autocomplete or NK2 in the subject line and I'll be sure to pick it up.

Good luck,
