Autocomplete not working

With autocomplete turned on, ran detect and repair, still
do not get the autocomplete on an address listed in the
address book. How do I get this to start back up? Any
other suggestions?
 
Autocomplete does not use your address book. It uses a cache that will be
populated as you send messages.
Autoresolution uses your address book.
 
How do you turn on autoresolution then, is it an add-in?

No, and its enabled by default, normally. Tools > Options > Preferences >
Email options > Advanced Email options... > Automatic name checking.
Whenever you Tab out of the To: field or hit Send or hit the Check Names
button, Outlook will attempt to resolve a name against the entries in your
Contacts Folder.
