Houston help

I'm having trouble disabling the "autocomplete" function
in my address bar, despite the fact I've turned it off
(for Web addresses, forms, and user names) and cleared
everything (history, forms, passwords). This is even
after shutting off and rebooting. Specifically, it
still "autocompletes" the following:

1.) the sites I've marked as "Favorites"
2.) the files I have on my desktop, and
3.) a few URLs that I've visited but not marked as
Favorites, but still won't clear from either "History"
or "Autocomplete"

How can I clear all of these from Autocomplete or actually
fully disable Autocomplete?

Thanks!

Have you gone into the IE Advanced tab to see whether "use inline
autocomplete" is cleared?

If you're using XP, try Kelly's Korner for additional advice \
registry tweaks.
