Hello Everyone:
I've been trying to install autoCAD. It says that I have to have a .NET
Framework. I also read on their website that if I have the service pak 2
installed with WinXP Pro it sould work. It still doesn't. Did I misunderstand
what I read? is the .NET Framework a different download, after I already have
"Service Pak 2" installed? or is SP2 supposed to have installed the .NET
Framework that AutoCAD is supposed to need to work?

My main quesion is:
Is "Service pak 2" and .NET Framework 1.1, 2 different things?
and when I went to MSoft to download it, it had 7 different choices for a
..NET framework. What one do I need?

Bruce.

Service Pack 2 for Windows XP does not include
..NET Framework.

Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 Redistributable Package

Then download:

Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1

I run Autodesk Inventor Series and don't run AutoCAD or
MDT unless I'm threatened with torture, but there seems to
be some problems with the Firewall in XP that can cause
problems as well. I have it disabled in XP Pro SP2 and
everything seems to be working okay. Not everyone sees it,
but might save you a post about it anyway.
