I am having an issue with a machine were AutoArchive is
not working correctly. This machine is running Office 2000
Pro Sr1. I have setup on each folder to archive anything
older then 6 months, but it will only work on a few
folders and completely over looks the rest. Is there an
issue with SR1? Any ideas?

Thank you
Michael

I think I have the answer, but I just want to check.
According to what I just read AutoArchive looks at the
modified date and not the received date for autoachiving.
So, this means that if I had moved an email to a new
folder, but the email was a year old, AutoArchive would
not pick it up, until 6 months after the moved date
(modified date), if AutoArchive was set to run on email 6
months or older.

Is this correct? If so, why would they do it by modified
date and not received date?

Thank You
Michael

It is correct, and I don't know why...

You can always open the archive.pst file manually (use File | Open, within
Outlook) and move items there by drag and drop, if you don't want to wait
for them to be AutoArchived. Not ideal, but better than nothing.
