autoarchive at 6months,mistake how do i get personal folders back

i use office 2003, not that good with computers but have continually said no
when box asks if i want to archive folders/items. then 2 days ago my personal
folders just disappeared. having spent ages trying to find it turns out that
after 6 months it was set to auto archive, my mistake i just did not know
this setting. and yes i had had the computer just 6 months. tried various
things to retrieve but to no avail. does anybody know how/if i can retreave?
these folders within my email account hold important info.
