I'm running windows nt. When I create an original
document, I set everything up the way I want and then save
it to auto text. When I try to insert the auto text entry
into a new document, it changes the margins and some of
font formats. How can I get it to copy everything exactly
the way I created it.

If you want to save margins and styles you need to save as a template not as
autotext.

Margins are never saved in AutoText. Paragraph indents sometimes are. You
need to be building custom templates. (Save the document formatted the way
you want as a template using File > Save As.)

See http://addbalance.com/usersguide/basic_formatting.htm and

Do your formatting in templates using Styles for best results.

If you are moving from WP to Word, let me know because there is a wealth of
help out there that you really need and I can give you the links.
