I want to autoText or autoCorrect my name and address. I want it to use the
font I choose for the document. If I choose formatted text I get the original
font. If I choose plain text I get one line of text with (*) where there
should be paragraphs. What do I do to let it use the font I have chosen.

Use styles in your formatting both for the AutoText entry and your document,
that is, the same style. Then the style definition in your document will
control the formatting. http://addbalance.com/usersguide/styles.htm

Thanks Charles Kenyon

I spent a couple of hours using the links you provided and learned a little
about styles. What a difference. I feel like I had been using Word like a gun
without bullets (poor excuse for a rock). Now I will know why and what to do
when I copy something and paste it and try to change the formating.
And now on to templates......

You are welcome. Glad to have been of help.

Been there ... done that. I resisted styles for years. :(
