Can anyone tell me how to say the auto text and auto
correct that I have added to a floppy disc and then
transfer it to another computer using the same Word
2000? If I uninstall Word 2000 and then reinstall it, I
lose all the tons of auto text and auto correct I have
entered. I want to be able to transfer that info to a
floppy in case i want to put it on another computer or
lose it on this one and then i will not have to manually
enter each one again.

Also, somehow I have lost the ability to do word count
with and without characters, etc. How do I fix that
without uninstalling and reinstalling. Again, if i have
to uninstall and reinstall i will lose all my auto text
and auto correct unless I am able to save it. Thanks for
your help. Me

Metrauma, can't help you with the word count problem, but so far as your
AutoText and AutoCorrect entries are concerned, here goes:

1-Your AutoText entries are stored in Normal.dot. Just save a copy of that
onto your floppy and transfer it to your new computer.
2-Your AutoCorrect entries are a little more involved. Please refer to this
Knowledge Base article: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=207748 ("How to
Move AutoCorrect Entries Between Computers in Word 2000").
