Auto Shutdown

Hi. I have WinXP Home ed. But everyyime i run a
application, half way though it i get a error message
telling me that my comnputer will shutdown in 60seconds,
and i shud save all my work. It's been happening for the
last 3 days. It can't be that worm blaster virus because
i've scanned the comp using that patch from microsofts
website. Any ideas on wat cud be causing the problem and
how i can resolve it? thanks in advanced.

you have the w32 blaster worm. go to symantec and
download the removal tool. before you run it, disconnect
from the internet, disable system restore through the
control panel, then run the tool in normal mode. when
done it will tell you all files have been removed. at
this point restart into safe mode and run the tool again-
it will remove one last file. restart back into normal
mode and you are free and clear of the worm-don't forget
to enable system restore again.

symantec.com and virus scan your computer
