We don't know what the problem is from what you've said.
Can you tell us what the blue screen said and what
instructions you followed?

hi

i had this problem and it is caused by hardware/software
so you may need to update your drivers for any hardware
and software updates for software i had the problem with
easy cd creator 5 and a iomega zipcd650 you can get
software updates from the software makers website

Have you checked the Event viewer to see what it says caused the system dump?

Also if you don't like the auto start "feature" of XP, you can Go into System
Properties (either select the System applet in the Control Panel or Right Click
on My Computer and select Properties) and choose the Settings button under the
"Startup and Recovery" section of in the Advanced tab. Uncheck the
"Automatically restart" box and hit "OK" a couple of times. From that point
onward, if you get an error which brings down the system, it will hang at this
screen to try and give you some information about what caused the lockup. Then
you might try and do a search on the MSKB to see if you can find something
pertinent to your problem.
