With the computer re-starting all may be lost but if this is Excel XP, 2003
or 2007 then look at Tools>Options...Save and find the location of the
autosave folder (Different options in XL2007, but similar from office
Button>Excel Options...)

When you find this, via explorer navigate to this folder (may be hidden so
turn this on in folder options in explorer). In here you will hope to find
strangely name files with no extensions. If there are any, copy them
somewhere else and add an .xls (or .xlsx in 2007) file extension and you
should now be able to open them and see what is saved.

If there are no files here, you are out of luck.
