auto reboot while running games

been having a problem where my system reboots while running game programs,
even ones made by MS such as Halo. Any insights?
 
Look at the Event Viewer to find out the cause.
What are your hardware specs?

hardware specs are more than adequate for the games I run, generally anything
that ran just fine with 98SE. Halo was one of those, and Americas Army to
mention another. Running more than 700MB Ram and a 1.8 gig processor. Video
uses directX and open GL drivers.

Insights into the cause of the reboots are often easier to come by once
you've turned off "Automatically restart" in the System Failure settings.
To get there, right-click on My Computer, choose Properties, then Advanced,
then Startup and Recovery. Remove the checkmark.

Once that's done, system errors are more likely to show you some sort of
error message. These can be good clues.

IIRC, video drivers have long been frequent culprits in system crashes like
this. Newest isn't always best, or stablest.

Have you checked the Event Viewer log?
Right-clicking My Computer then select Properties,
then go to Advanced and Startup and Recovery settings, uncheck
Automatically restart.
Next time when it will crash you will get a Blue Screen with error
code.Kindly post back with that error code and associated .dll files.
