can anyone help, i cant get auto play to work on cd or dvd

Do you have it disabled? Did you use a tweak application to disable it
perhaps?

Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP:

Re-enable it with TweakUI

I have the same problem. In my case, I have a CD Drive and an external usb
drive which (both of them) used to work before. I had read all the post here
and Downloaded and run Auto Repair Wizard stated herein. I had tried it on
Drive D: (my CD Drive) and a log stated that it was reset and I need to log
off and on again of which I did but still the auto play won't work. Thanks
in advance for any help you could extend and I hope its alright to join in
your discussion. If not then I just post a new one.

I also have autoplay that's not working. I used the Autoplay Fix.exe, and I
tried to repair but I keep getting a message saying that either the drives
are malfucuaction or that it was unable to determine the problem. All my
drives work as they should, it''s just that when I insert a disc wheather
blank or not, the autoplay window doesn't pop up asking what I should do.
Please help.
