Auto Page number 2A-1, 2A-2 etc.

Is it possible in Word2000 to insert automatic page numbering in the form
2A-1, 2A-2. I have three sections in a Manual with Heading 1 as 2A text,
Heading 1 2B text and Heading 1 2C text. So, for example, I need Page 2A-1,
Page 2A-2 in one document and then Page 2B-1, Page 2B-2 etc.

The PAGE field doesn't allow this.

Any help would be much appreciated.
