I have auto name suggest box checked in Outlook Standard 2003, full version,
does not auto fill names, any suggestions. Also would like to change the
default setting in SELECT NAMES when completing To: name from address book.
Would like to have last name first, first name last. Ideas? Thanks. gg

Three completely unrelated questions in one post. Might be a new record. One
at a time:
1. Autocompletion uses a cache of names created as you send messages. Verify
that you have sent enough messages to have such a cache. "Does not autofill"
tell us nothing. State precisely what you are doing and what does not happen
that you think should.
2. You can easily change the display order in the Tools > Options of the
Outlook Address Book.
3. Go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books > Outlook Address Book > Change. > Set your sort order there

Hello and thanks Russ for the previous message. When I am addressing an email
to:recipient and click on address book icon the SELECT NAMES window opens. I
would like to change the way names are listed from first name first to last
name first. I click on the name bar at the top but that fails to make any
change. The instructions you gave earlier changes order of the directory
not this item. gg

The instructions I gave you work. Did you restart Outlook?
