- Click Start / run / control userpasswords2 {OK}
- Untick the box that requires users to enter a password.

I had the same problem only at one time as the Adminitrator of my computer I
used to be able to boot the computer and it would just go by a Welcome screen
and then boot straight to my desk top. Now, for some reason or another, when
I boot the computer it stops and I have to click on my name and Icon(the one
that shows me as the Administrator) before it boots to my desk top.

So I tried going to START--RUN and entered what is suggested (Control
userpasswords2) and then rebooted. Well now I am in a fix. When it boots it
gives me an error box that says "Unable to log on because of an account
Restriction". This stopage is at the screen that says "WiNDOWS XP" , "WINDOWS
IS STARTING UP". O.K. Now what do I do after using the suggested way to log
on.

It seems you selected the wrong account when specifying
the no-password method. To prevent an automatic logon,
hold down the shift key during the Windows startup phase,
then try the "control userpasswords2" method again, this
time making sure to select the correct account. And while
you're at it - fix the bad account(s) or delete them!
