My wife installed and uses Gator because the auto filling and remembering
passwords etc. Can someone tell me how to set up XP to automatically
remember passwords and fill in forms etc so I can remove this vile Program
{gator} and still keep the wife happy? Many thanks

XP doesn't have that capability natively (well it does, but it's rubbish). I
suggest you download and install RoboForm (www.roboform.com). It's free (up
to 30 passwords) any more and you have to register ($20). The Google Toolbar
does have some native form filling capabilities, but it tends to default to
the American style (so, as I am in the UK, I don't use it).

Gator, as you know, is spyware.

God I hope you dont have a shared credit card account.

Xp is no help to you in this matter.
I haven't seen any feature in Xp that does that.
Gator is pretty bad spyware. I don't think they are up to anything criminal.
But any unprotected private info is fair game.
Try using a browser like Firefox, it's not bad with remembering fill in's.
Good luck

"I don't think they are up to anything criminal..."

The selling of personal details without prior knowledge *IS* a criminal
offence in most countries. Maybe it isn't wherever you hail from...
