Auto Date

I want a form I created to place "todays date" automatically in a field on
the form upon a user entering their user id in a field on the form.

Please advise if this is possible and if so how.

Use the afterUpdate property of the field where the user data is expected
and use it ot set the date.. pseudo code follows:
sub myField_afterupdate
myotherfield = now()
end sub

Sorry Kailash,

I dont understand what you mean by pseudo code.

My fields are User ID and Date.

Do I substitute as follows:

sub User ID_afterupdate
Date = now()
end sub

I tried the above and received an error ststing expected end in line User
ID!

=Now(

as the default value
