I have the Swiss version of Word with four languages. The
terms inserted for automatic correction in Italian are not
all incorporated in the English automatic correction. Do
you know how to accomplish this?
Thank you

AutoCorrect is language specific--there's a different list of AC entries for
each language and it only acts on text set to the same language.

The brute force method would be to enter the terms you want in AC for all
four languages, via the Tools | AutoCorrect dialog. I feel as though last
time someone asked this question, there was *not* a way to open up the AC
list and manually edit it, but my memory is vague. If no one else chimes in
here, try asking again in the microsoft.public.word.international.features
newsgroup, and be sure to state your Word and OS version.

Although you can edit the list using the utility at
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/ExportAutocorrect.htm, I think the
solution is to be sure that the text is formatted with the appropriate
language. Word selects the AutoCorrect file to use based on the language
setting at the insertion point.

Which version of Word? (not language, numeric)

Generally, if the text is formatted with the correct
language, the language is "active" and the necessary proofing
tools have been installed, AutoCorrect will respond to the
language formatting of the text. This all assumes you have
Word 2000 or later.

You'll find an article about language formatting in the Tips
section of my website.
