Auto correct replaces different words than supposed to!

Hi,

i've just been setting up Autocorrect on Word 2003, and for example i've
programmed in Quercus to be replaced by Quercus in italics so far so good.
But then it decides to replace it with Betula in italics (another word I've
programmed in!!). I then have to go and delete both entries to stop it
happening.

Any ideas or is this a glitch that means I shall have to abandon autocorrect
for my latin names!!

Thanks in advance.

To add a bit more detail to my post above...if i delete the autocorrect entry
for the item it's replacing it by - autocorrect seems to pick a new
'correction' at random - it moved onto 'Best Wishes' (e.g. x being replaced
by y, so delete y, and the x is replaced by z!)!

Hope someone can help as this is really annoying!

To add to my post above. It now seems that I enter x to be replaced with xx
in to the autocorrect box. I type x into my document which is then replaced
with y. If i delete y from the autocorrect table, x is now replaced with z.

Hope someone can help as this is really annoying!

Thank you!
