Auto complete

I have been having a problen with address auto complete...I have box checked
in send tab in tools but sometimes it does not put in an address that is in
my contacts...any Help out there??

That is a known issue with Windows Mail. It does not use the Contacts list
for auto-completion. It uses a separate list of the last 29 or so recipients
you've sent to. That feature works correctly on the newer Windows Live Mail.

Where can I find this separate list? I have found that I mistyped an email
address and now it wants to put that address in the To: box. I have typed
and sent the correctly addressed email, but that email is now first in the
alphabetical list, so WM still pulls up the incorrect one. If I could go in
and delete all 29 of the previously sent email addresses it would be so much
more convenient.

A better long term fix is to switch to Windows Live Mail, which uses
the regular contacts list for auto-completion:

I was going to switch to Windows Live Mail, but it is not compatible with
Vista x64.

It turns out the program runs on x64 Vista, but the installer does not.
If you're interested, the WLM newsgroup can give you a hack to make
the installer work on x64.

Hopefully the new version of WLM that is due this fall will have full x64
support.
