Auto Complete address list missing

Hi,

Every few months it seems that the auto complete address list is blank. To
the best of my knowlegde I am not deleteing the releated file (nk2) or
clearing the list in some way. In any case;

Does anyone know of a setting that would purge/clear this file?
Does anyone know if a backup is kept of the file if purged, deleted or
removed?
Can the file be rebuilt outside of sending emails to all my email addresses?

There is no setting that will purge it, but there is a setting that will
disable it.

Unless you make the backup, no.

Yes. Create a new message, all all your contacts to the To field, press
Ctrl-K to resolve the addresses. then close the new mesage window without
sending the mail. Close Outlook to make sure the file gets written
properly.
