I have set Auto-Archiving up to run every 7 days, archiving anything older
than 2 months, with no notification to me. I clicked on the button to apply
this to all folders. Yet ti appears to not be working. I have items in
folders back to July. Using Outlook 2002.

Whar date are you using to determine that the items date back to July? If
you're looking at the "Received" date, then you're not looking at the same
date Autoarchive uses. It uses the "modified" date, which can be quite
different from the received date.

I checked and the Modified Date is July. It was news to me that it uses
Modified, but they are the same.

How big is your archive file? The limit is around 2GB

Nice to know about the limit, but it is only 51,000 KB.

It's a puzzle to me then. Sorry.

Have you checked it for errors already with scanpst.exe?
Does it work when you start Archive manually?

1. What is scnpst.exe?
2. I suspect there is a problem. I discovered that the button "Apply these
settings to all Folders" on the AutoArchive tab in tools/ Options does not
apply the settings. A manual archive only works if I go into a folder's
properties and manually change the Auto Archive settings.

Scanpst.exe checks the pst-file for errors and tries to correct them. Just
do a search for scanpst.exe on your system.

No errors.

Does the button about applying Auto Archive settings to all folders work? IT
doesn't seem to. We are sing Outlook 2002 on Exchange Server 2003.
