Audoineer - new DJ

My PC was attacked and became so corrupted i had a friend re-instal Windows
XP [HOME]. he amnaged to save all software. I have re-installed a package
that came with [pre-installed] the PC [a packard bell system] called New DJ
by Audoineer. I can start it but it wont play/access my MP3's and I don't
have options to change sound device configuration etc. any ideas?
 
Did he get the sound device drivers set up correctly?

Do you have sound at all?

Can Windows Media Player play an MP3?

I can use all other software - real,mediaplayer etc. only the Audioneer programme doesn't mak e make the link . The programme has a window with options to set the preferred device but the drop down offers no choices.

Have you tried simply reinstalling it, or checking their site for updates?

It made have not seen the sound card/drivers correctly the first time.

I can only find the exe. - how do I install?

If it's the original package .exe file on the CD, double click that.
It'll probably unpack the files to a temp directory and start the install.
