I found it neccesary to re-install my XP Pro system which
went quite smoothly. However, now I do not have any sound.
I get the message, No Sound Card Installed. Any
suggestions ?????

Hi

If a CD came with the sound card, try installing the drivers from there. It
that doesn't help, download the drivers from the sound card's web site.

Hi

Didn't you get any CDs with the PC - one of which should have been for the
sound card, in case you had to reinstall everything? You find out what kind
of sound card you have by typing the following from Start>Run

msinfo32

and then expanding Components>Sound Device. When you have found the
manufacturer of your sound card, try their web site for the drivers.

Maybe if you know what you are doing, undo the cover case
of your computer and take out the sound card then put it
back in again and see if that works.
