audio device

I have a toshiba satellite laptop and I use windows xp
home edition. I recently downloaded a service pack
upgrade from microsoft and now my audio device is no
longer compatible. My audio device is a Yamaha AC-XG
WDM. Any idea how I can get sound on my computer again?

Been there, done that....

Product Recovery CD, re-install XP from scratch, DON'T put
SP1 on your system. It trashes any Yamaha audio drivers
and there are no replacements/updated drivers available
from either Yamaha or Toshiba. (The generic AC/XG driver
from Yamaha does not work well with Toshiba Satellite
systems.)
