Audio Device

I was online trying to listen to something via AOL Media Player. It was playing but I was not hearing anything. I went to Control Panel/Sound and Audio Devices/Volume Tab, and It says "No Audio Device". Where could it have gone?????
I would greatly appreciate anyones help

look for device manager in system-control panel. check
your sound device-runtrouble shooter.also control panel
on left side of add/remove, add windows components.
