I tried to play an audio CD on Windows xp but it goes all scratchy when i
play on WMP, REAL or even Musicmatch. But when i play it on an ordinary cd
player or on on the CD-rom drive itself (by pressing the play button there),
it does not have any of that scratchy sound or any errors whatsoever
(strange...my CDs even got scratches)! I tried enabling digital mode/ analog
mode with error correction or without.....it still sounds scratchy. Isn't
that supposed to cure the cds of all that scratchy sound? Anyway, can anyone
please tell me what is wrong?? I think the problem is software
related...PLEASE HELP!

thank you very much for your time

Try updating your soundcard drivers from the mftr.'s website. Do not use
drivers found on Windows Update.
