'Audio' CDs are 'regular' CDs that the RIAA gets a cut from for each one
sold.

I do some work for a local Audio equipment shop owner.
He swears by the "Black" CD-R for audio recording. I'm
old enough that I've lost some High Frequency response &
can't really tell a difference from brand to brand of blank
media.

disks. I find it a wonderful machine for recording music from all
sources and it holds up to four hundred disks at any one time having a
160 gigabyte hard drive. The only problem is it won't accept any CDR
blanks other than Audio. If you insert anything else it says it is not
an Audio disk.
