I'm not Kelly, but that problem usually occurs when a non-compliant driver
has been installed (meaning the driver doesn't support standby mode). The
solution is usually to update to a version of the driver that does. If you
recently installed a new driver, you may need to "rollback" to the previous
version. This is done from the properties of the device (control
panel/system/hardware tab/device manager, double-click the device and go to
the driver tab).
