HI all. I need some help with sending attachments with
outlook 2002, installed with Office XP. It appears to
have sent the Attachment, but no-one receives it. Any
Ideas, Please?

Are the recipients also using Outlook, or some other mail program? What
format are you sending the message in -- HTML, plain text or rich text? Do
you use Word as your e-mail editor?

Thank you Jocelyn
Recipient use Outlook Express ver 5,6 as well as Outlook.
Tried to send in Text, HTML as well as Rich Text; no
luck. Word is NOT used as the e-mail Editor

Odd -- Rich Text (as well as the other formats) should work fine for an
Outlook recipient, and Plain Text and HTML should work for Outlook Express.
Do you have another account you can send to, possibly Yahoo or something, to
test whether or not the attachment shows up there?

Haven't tried sending to a Hotmail Account, but will test
it; may take a few days to get the result. The
Attachment is either a Word doc or an Excel doc. Will
also try plein Text attacments and report back. Thank
You.
Bloque.

I'll look for your next reply. I did think of something else you could try
but since it's kind of a complicated process (well, I think so, anyway <g>)
I'll wait to see what your results are before I post it.

Jocelyn, it Works. No Idea how. they swear, they didn't
do anything other than take the machine up to
Johannesburg (from Cape Town), then came back and sent me
a Word Attachment to my ordinary as well as my hotmail
Account, and it both worked; I got the Attached Word
Document in both my accounts. Boy, does the egg feel bad
on my face. Anyway, I keep monitoring the problem.
Thanks for Your willingness to be of great service. Ta
and cheers for the time being. Bloque

Will You still Please post a possible answer? I mean,
what could the problem have been? Thanks again, Bloque

Hmm...I hope I'm remembering the right thing, it's been a couple of weeks
:-)

I think I wanted to tell you that you could go to your Contacts folder, open
the Contact record for one of the recipients that was having trouble
receiving your attachment, double-click the e-mail address, and make sure it
was not set to always send to that recipient in Rich Text format. You'd
have to do that for each recipient that was having problems.
