When attaching a file to an outgoing message, it appears
as an icon in the body of the message. How do you change
this for the it to appear as the file name in an
attachment box in the header section?

Thanks!

I'm assuming you're using Outlook 2000, since I don't believe XP does that any more. The easiest way that I found, is to attach the file using the attach command in the menu bar instead of Drag and Drop. Give that a try :)

I'm using Office 2003, and attachments ALWAYS go into the header section (or if they don't, I haven't figured out how to put the file in the body)

Hope that helps

Change the Mail format. Tools-options-Mail Format

Yes, I am using 2003 - I tried using the menu and it still
comes up as an icon. Another suggestion would be
appreciated.
Thanks
