Hi Vera,
Just as a test, have her save and send the file (Word for example) in RTF
format to see if you can open the resulting file.
Any other Office Program - her test saving and sending the file in a
different version of the application as another test.
Another test: Have her send the file to more than one person. Can the other
person open it? If they forward the file to you, can you open that one?
Let me know what you discover.
