Attachments (sometimes) not arriving - Sent from Outlook 2002

Some of my freinds are telling me that the attachments (jpegs) I'm sending
are not arriving. Do I need to change my settings before sending??

Possibly. If you're sending your messages in Rich Text format, that could
explain it, since only another Outlook user can see attachments on Rich Text
messages.

Well, I'm a firm believer in using Plain Text exclusively, but HTML should
allow interchange between any HTML-aware clients. It's Rich Text one should
avoid. I can't explain what you're seeing without also suggesting Rich Text
is in use.
 
Can someone tell me why this makes any sense? Regardless of the body text,
why wouldn't the attachments still arrive? I have intermittent problems
sending PDF attachments too, even with the text set at Plain Text - This is
not the answer.
