I have a new computer and I am getting emails through but
all the attachments are being deleted automatically from
the emails with a message OE has removed this unsafe
attachement. I know the emails are from a trusted source.
Is this an antivirus or firewall problem? I have McAffee
security.
Can you help

Wrong. No attachments are getting removed. Read the prompt message
again. It says *access* has been removed. It's a security feature.
So, where might you find *options* within the program regarding
*security* (hint, hint)?

THIS SHOULD BE AN EASY FIX" FIRST: OPEN OUTLOOK EXPRESS >
TOOLS > OPTIONS > SECURITY TAB > **** UNCHECK THE BOX
THAT READS: "DO NOT ALLOW ATTACHMENTS TO BE SAVED OR
OPENED THAT COULD POTENTIALLY BE A VIRUS" Just make sure
you know who is sending the Attachment !!! Microsoft I
think made this setting as a Default Setting to help stop
ANY VIRUS ETC. FROM SPREADING. I HOPE THIS WORKS FOR
YA !!! REGARDS, tinyohio 7/19/04 @ 8:42 AM. (EST)

Tell your trusted source to send you Zip files or just change the
extension before sending. It will save you a lot of hassle.
