Attachment as Hyperlink - rtf only?

Hello,

there is an option to send attachment via hyperlink but its onl
working when the edit mode is set to rtf.

Switching from html to plain text to rtf, inserting the link and the
switching back to plain text to html doesn't sound like a goo
workaround for me.

Is there a way to enable adding files as hyperlink for *all* edi
modes?

Why not just send the URL in a plain text message?
