Hi,

I've got a user who is running Office XP and is connected to an Exchange
2000 server. All the functions of Outlook work well and the .pst file is .9
of a gig so well under the 1.62 gig limit. If he tries to attach a file
using the Insert function and then hits the pull-down list Outlook will
become unresponsive for about 10 minutes and then finally catalog the file
structure. If the pull-down is hit again it will do the same thing. It
doesn't matter if the pull-down is currently looking for a local file or one
on the network, it's the same issue. Attachments can be added through any
other method but of course this is the one he uses the most.

I have run a repair and reinstall on Office. Ensured no extraneous
services, viruses, spyware, etc. is running on the computer and run an
Office update off Microsoft's site. Any other suggestions on what to do or
where to look for an answer?

Thanks,

Mike

This sounds like a Windows thing...........?

Empty all temp files
Use Tweakui to repair icons
Reboot

Ensure all network drives are available and, if not, then unmap them.
