HelpPls

People I send email to through outlook are reporting that when they try to
open the attachment (word, excel, jpeg) they get a corruption error. If I
send the same attachment through Yahoo, it is fine. Plain Text email are
going through OK.

Any ideas? Sean

Use Plain text or HTML when sending to either just these users or in
general. I'd avoid Rich Text anyway.

Hi -

It's not the email that they are unable to open, it's the attachements.
Furthermore, it seems that any attachments that were created on the local
machine are fine when the recipient opens them but any attachments from a
network share are not. Also, this is only occurring with 5 of 7 users.

Yes; I understand that. Using rich text format will often do this.

Still try sending in plain text to see if it resolves the issue. If the
recipient is in your contacts, change their properties to always send plain
text, and test.

Would the sending server cause this or only the receiving server?

It's a message format issue. If the recipient isn't using Outlook, or even
if they are, rich text gets whacked during transmission through some server,
you'll have problems. I don't recommend using rich text format at all.

Hi,

This fixed the issue with some of the users but not all. Any more thoughts?

Thank you so much - Sean

For those who aren't working - if the recipient is in their contacts, change
the message sending format for each of their contacts as well & try again.
