Attached file in Outlook doesn't appear in rcvd OE mail.

In attaching a Word document file to an email in Outlook, I can send it to
myself and the attachment will be there and can be opened only in Outlook. If
I receive the message in OE, the attachment is gone. Others tell me my
attachments are not coming through to their mail programs either unless I use
OE. Is thee any way around this?
 
Stop using Word as the email editor.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

Try setting your message format to Plain Text or HTML. If you're sending
Rich Text, only another Outlook user will be able to receive the attachment.
