Ctrl-Alt-4 on mine (European long before the euro).
And also AltGr-4.

€€€€€€€€€ is what I saw in your post however I note
when I reply that it displays correctly as the Euro sign. I'll have to
report a bug to Forte Inc.

That does not work on my keyboard at all. The ALT+0128 does. €.

Has a table of numeric code character entities for web page coding (doesn't have the euro symbol.
The table can be used to find the 4 digit number that's used to type the code. For instance:

! ! Exclamation mark
is typed as ALT 0033

¢ ¢ Cent sign
is typed as ALT 0162

etc.

If you type a lot of special characters try AllChars - it's Pricelessware.
