My first problems with the computer started when it would randomly reboot.
However, this was random and it would always reboot fine. (Stop 0x0000008E)
This lasted despite my attempts at fixing and isolating the problem. Then
recently my display started to get pixelated and garbled. This problem
snowballed. When rebooting the computer I've gotten a number of errors. Stop
0x000000EA, "The device driver got stuck in an infinite loop," and a problem
with ati2dvag. I've gathered enough info to surmise this is a video driver
problem. But now I cannot even log on to Windows XP without my screen
instantly becoming indecipherable (and this in safe mode). Please help me
out. I know enough to navigate through XP and to go inside the computer and
make sure the video card was secure...but i'm not terribly intelligent when
it comes to these things. Thanks.
