Yikes, Bloomberg is reporting this morning that AT&T is considering
jumping ship - this will be the largest installed IT loss to Linux
ever for Microsoft - nearly 5X larger then when the city of Munich
decided to switch in June.

Another note in the article I wasnt aware of:
"The pressure from Linux comes as Redmond, Washington-based
Microsoft's sales growth declines to its lowest rate ever. The company
in July predicted growth of as little as 4.3 percent this year, down
from an average 38 percent a year in the 1990s."
The good part for users is that this translates into pricing pressure
which will undoubtably reduce the cost of Windows, as Microsoft makes
80% profit on each sale of a Windows PC, says one securities analyst.
