I am trying to assign a task to someone outside of my SBS 2003 Server. When
they receive the assigned task, it shows up as an e-mail with the details in
the body of the message. There are no accept or decline buttons.

I have checked to see that I am sending to the person in RTF format. I have
also checked the server to make sure the exchange rich text format setting
is correct. Currently, I have it set to "Determine by individual user
settings".

I also checked to see that I could assign a task correctly inside of the SBS
server. And, I can receive a task from outside the server.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

If you double-click on the e-mail address in the recipient's contact info,
what is the mail format set to?
If it isn't that, it could be that the recipient's mail server or client is
stripping the info out.\
