ASP Website dataBase connection works on one pc and not on another

Hi,

I've created a ASP.NET application on my pc using visual studio and it works
fine.

when i moved it to my web server (another pc with IIS) and surf to my
website, the website comes up but for some reason doesn't connect to the
database.

from the visual studio i could connect to the same database as i'm trying now.

i don't get any erors...

what can be the problem?

Is the database set up to use trusted connections? If so, what is the
user account that your ASP.NET application is running under?

What are the details of the exception you get?

My guess is that when you ran it under your local machine, you were
using the web host that VS.NET uses to debug ASP.NET pages, and that runs
under your local user account, so the pages worked.

But when you moved to IIS, it is running under the ASP_NET account,
which doesn't have access to your database.

Thanks.

my connection string contains both the user and password. so i think that it
uses them to access the database no?
