That account would have been created when you downloaded and installed the .NET Framework update. If you have no programs that specifically need .NET Framework - such Drive Image 7 - you can delete that account.
The account was created by .NET Framework install. I wouldn't recommend
deleting it, but if you don't use any apps that require .NET framework you
can disable the account.

I was able to go into Computer Management and disable the aspnet account. It
is now showing with the red X on it. Does this mean it's really disabled?
