asp.net account??

HI,
I have just re-installed Windows XP (home), after a HDD re-format. A
user account has appeared called " asp.net machine, which I did not
create. Also I can`t log on to this account,. Does anyone know what it
is for.Thanks

That user account gets installed with the MS .net framework 1.1. You
can safely delete the account, or if you leave it there, make sure it's
not passworded so it can't ever cause you trouble.
