I run SYSTEM RESTORE to create a Restore Point but failed and received a
messege that "System restore can not create Restore point. Pls restart
computer and run system restore again".
I run it again and again but it does not work.
Anybody know how to solve this please give me a help.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Let's take a look at Event Viewer for any System Restore logs that may
have been created recently that may help us diagnose the problem.

Go to Start - Run and type eventvwr.msc and press enter.
Click on System in the left pane.
Click the gray title "Source" at the top of the source name column in
the right pane to sort by source name, look for "sr" and "srservice".
Double click on each of these events, then click on the button below the
two arrows in the upper right corner. This will copy the event
information to the clipboard. Paste the information for each of the two
event here. There's no need to post duplicate Event ID's.

How do I use the Event Viewer to search for System Restore logs?

Dear Mr. Bert Kinney
Thanks for your help.
I have looked at even viewer but doesnot find any special thing.
I have tried many things but it does not work, such as:
- disable monitoring to other disk
- enable task schedule and so on
- disable antivirus program
- even using CreateRP
.....
But all failed!
What is the next step I should do? reinstall SR?
Please instruct.
Thank you.

Dear Mr Bert Kinney,
- I found NO sr
- As to srservice, I found no special thing. Just record of the monitoring
status. That is why I have not posted it in the previous messege. For example:
Event Type: Information
Event Source: SRService
Event Category: None
Event ID: 114
Date: 9/10/2006
Time: 11:37:18 AM
User: N/A
Computer: IBM-X31
Description:
System Restore monitoring was disabled on drive D:\.
